Democratising design-thinking
and making design-education accessible to everyone
It is a paradigm shift to 'public design' which is more integrated with the needs of society. It's a process of looking inward and finding inclusive and contextual solutions. This is where the user becomes the designer, and design becomes democratized. On the other side, a set of probable designers are far away from design academia, due to their social capital. Bringing them into the field of design based on traditional knowledge, will be the important step of democratising design thinking.

INDIA INNOVATING FOR 2022
BRANDING

One of my most memorable branding projects was 'India Innovating for 2022' a project by Friedrich Ebert Stiftung - India, which I'm proud to feature in my portfolio. The core message of 'innovation for growth' resonated deeply, and I had the opportunity to develop a comprehensive brand identity, including the logo and brand extensions, in 2019. This project remains one of my favorites, showcasing my ability to craft impactful branding solutions that drive growth and innovation.

Designs
I'm proud to feature two impactful projects in my portfolio. The first, a series of political posters for the INC, highlighted key figures and promises using contrasting colors, targeting distinct demographic groups. Although the design elements were simple, they made a significant impact on social media and Google ads.
Other one is a mobile-friendly donation site within a mere 2 days. The site played a crucial role in securing over 10 crore INR in funds on the first day. To achieve this, I focused on crafting a simple, 4-step interface for the donation process and recognition certificates.

Throughout my professional journey, AIcrowd holds a unique place in my heart, marked by captivating design challenges and the joy of collaborating with outstanding brands. Commencing as an artist in residence, I swiftly progressed to the role of Head of Design within a year. My contributions encompass a spectrum of design facets, including communication design, UI assets, and intricate design systems. Along this path, I've engaged in diverse learning experiences, collaborating with Machine Learning engineers and Big Tech project managers across various crafts.

SATYAGRAHA
Branding
for the event
Satyagraha is a cultural event of dance-drama-painting based on Gandhi's Philosophy. Suranya Aiyaar arranges this event twice a year in a vernacular approach. From logo to event brochure, invite and social media poster, I have crafted the branding and design Language for this event. This year, 2024 Satayagraha is happening 3rd time. Crafting an event brand with a vernacular approach was a fun challenge for this project.
